Asbestos Air Monitoring


Air monitoring should be performed whenever ACMs are being removed or worked with. Envirospect can provide the following air monitoring services:

  • Background – involves testing the air for respirable fibres prior to work
  • Control – testing the air to measure the level of respirable airborne asbestos fibres during work on asbestos-containing materials
  • Clearance – tests the air to measure the level of airborne asbestos fibres following work or removal of asbestos-containing materials
  • Exposure – tests the air in a person’s breathing zone to determine a person’s likely exposure to respirable asbestos fibres
